Oh no, something mysterious happened at the Museum! Cape Fear Museum of History and Science needed your help cracking a curious case of “whodunit?”

Families were asked to become super sleuths, search for clues, and conduct scientific investigation to solve an all new Mystery at the Museum Saturday, January 23, 2016 between 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (last ticket sold at 3:00).

The Museum Store appeared to have been robbed! What happened to all the toys, books, and souvenirs? Was it a conspiracy between the former Museum Director and former Store Manager? Did a band of pirates steal all the loot? Maybe robots raided the place. Use forensic science, logic, and your imagination to help us solve the latest Mystery at the Museum.

Super sleuths analyzed fingerprints, compared blood types, conducted chromatography experiments, and investigated microscopic skin samples. They also created an alias and practiced detective strategies. Once participants thought they knew the culprit, they reported their observations to New Hanover County Sheriff Ed McMahon and District Attorney Ben David.

Mystery at the Museum was a part of the Creativity Garden- a nationwide project of the Association of Science-Technology Centers, generously sponsored by Disney.
