COVID-19 Relief Programs for Businesses & Nonprofits
New Hanover County launched a variety of financial aid and COVID-19 Relief Programs (PDF) utilizing American Rescue Plan funds in response to the needs of our community. A $4.5 million grant program for businesses, established in collaboration with the city, and a $700,000 grant program for nonprofits, were established in the summer of 2021. Applications for both grant programs have now closed.

Hospitalizations: Hospitalization data is provided and updated by the NC Department of Health and Human Services and the CDC.
Testing Data: COVID-19 testing data is provided by the NC Department of Health and Human Services and is updated on their dashboard. Additionally, you can see statewide information about testing, hospitalizations, outbreaks and clusters, and more on the NCDHHS dashboard.

- Percent Positivity for New Hanover County (CDC)
- Percent of total population fully vaccinated in New Hanover County (NCDHHS)
- Total Cases in New Hanover County (NCDHHS)
- Total Deaths in New Hanover County (NCDHHS)
CDC Community Level is updated every Friday by 9 am.
CDC Percent Positivity is updated Monday through Friday by 4 pm.
NCDHHS Data is updated every WednesdayData is subject to change according to CDC and NCDHHS schedules. Information is confirmed by the state and checked regularly to provide accurate and up to date information for the public, so data and reports may change retroactively.
