Public Notice: Surplus property for sale to non-profits then general public

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – At its September 18, 2023 meeting, the New Hanover County’s Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution declaring certain personal property surplus to the County’s operations.  

Non-profit organizations will have an opportunity to inspect and purchase certain property prior to being sold to the general public. Any non-profit organization interested in viewing the property should contact Brian Kohlenberg at 910-798-4413 or email at bkohlenberg@nhcgov.com. Non-profits may take advantage of this opportunity beginning Tuesday, September 19, 2023, through Tuesday, September 26, 2023.  

Any remaining property will be offered for sale beginning Friday, September 29, 2023, using GovDeals, a company who provides online auction services to governmental entities.  

Registration is required for bidding. All items are sold “as is” and all payments must be made online through GovDeals. Acceptable methods of payment are credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), PayPal and wire transfer. Please review the terms and conditions prior to bidding.
