Cape Fear Museum is inviting the community to PNC Dinosaur Family Day, an afternoon to journey back in time to explore dinosaurs, examine fossils, discover why the Giant Ground Sloth is not a dinosaur and more! This event is made possible by a generous grant from the PNC Foundation’s Grow Up Great initiative. Some of the educational stations and activities at this FREE EVENT will include:

  • Compare dinosaurs to other prehistoric creatures
  • Dig for fossils to take home
  • Explore a hands-on dinosaur display from the NC Fossil Club
  • Test puzzle-solving skills by recreating Pangea
  • See how people measure up to popular dinosaurs
  • Design and name a dino using Greek and Latin root words

While visiting, experience the traveling exhibit Dinosaur Discovery before it closes in February and see the newly updated exhibit on Wilmington’s prehistoric Giant Ground Sloth.

When: Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.
