The Southeast Regional National History Day contest will be an in-person event in 2022. Fee: Cape Fear Museum will waive entry fees for all students for the 2022 Southeast Regional contest.

In this regional competition, students in grades 6-12 move beyond the classroom to bring history to life. Based on in-depth research, student projects take the form of historical paper, documentary, performance, exhibit or web page. The 2022 competition theme is “Debate and Diplomacy in History: Successes, Failures and Consequences”.
