Cape Fear Museum of History and Science celebrates women in STEM and seeks to inspire the next generation of young women to become innovative leaders in STEM fields. Through a grant from ASTC and IF/THEN® , the museum is highlighting twelve professional women in STEM.
Six local women and six women from the IF/THEN® collection were selected and represent a diverse group of role models in STEM fields to inspire our next generation of young female scientists. The outreach banner project features life-size photos and stories that will travel to a range of partner sites serving girls and young women. It will debut at GLOW Academy in early May and will move to Cape Fear Museum during the month of June. We are seeking additional community partners to display the banner project and interested parties may reach out to Barbi Baker, firstname.lastname@example.org, 910-798-4367.
