9 AM to 3 PM
Help your students develop critical thinking skills to explore the natural and human-made world around them. Project Learning Tree (PLT) provides resources for integrating literacy, science, technology, engineering, art, and math with fun, hands-on activities that build environmental awareness and skills. PLT workshops provide continuing education credits for formal educators and those working toward the NC Environmental Education Certification. In these fun workshops, we will practice PLT activities just the way you will teach them.
The workshops are great for scout leaders, youth group leaders, homeschool teachers, and informal educators as well!
$20 per person (first 10 to sign up will be paid through a grant from International Paper Foundation); participants will receive the 400+ page PLT Activity Guide. Supplemental materials and a working lunch for all participants will be provided through support from International Paper Foundation.
