FREE Virtual PLT Workshop
Help your students develop critical thinking skills to explore the natural and human-made world around them. Project Learning Tree (PLT) provides resources for integrating literacy, science, technology, engineering, art, and math with fun, hands-on and virtual activities that build environmental awareness and skills. Completion of this PLT workshop provides 1.0 Continuing Education Credit formal educators and 10 hours of Criteria I for those working toward the NC Environmental Education Certification.
The workshops are great for scout leaders, youth group leaders, homeschool teachers, and informal educators as well!
This is a self-paced version of the PLT workshop and participants will have 30 days to complete all activities.
This workshop includes sponsored enrollment in the National Project Learning Tree (PLT) virtual workshop and content produced and delivered by Cape Fear Museum, in partnership with the NC PLT office. Participants with successful completion will receive a take-home kit, containing class sets of materials from each activity covered in the workshop and a hard-copy PLT activity book (an e-copy will be available with the national workshop). Materials and book may be picked up after Monday, November 23. For questions or more information, please contact Pepper Hill, phill@nhcgov.com or 910-798-4386.
Registration fee of $25 per person and workshop materials kit will be paid through a grant from International Paper Foundation.
